Rough start, pretty end

This morning we had a rude awakening, a severe T-storm warning was in our area, so we left the RV and headed into the camp office until it blew over. This set us back about an hour and a half, but there was no noticeable damage to the RV when we returned.

Apparently there are some rest stops out here that have Wi-fi (O_o who knew?) we were going to stop at one because we thought the site we were going to wouldn't have any, but turns out it does. Besides, we missed it completely, because the exit to it looked like a normal exit. The drive today has been very rural. (heck of a alot of windmills O-O)

lots and lots of windmills

We're currently staying in a campground that is known as the Flying Goose. It's very nice, has a very pretty setting, is well maintained, and family owned, they even lead you directly over to your site when you sign in.

Finally on the road

Our little "bridge"
Friday morning we were eager to leave, there was one small obstacle in our way however, we had to get the RV out of the yard which had been rained on so much, if not for the little bridge we made, we probably would've had to wait until Saturday to take off. The first day's drive went well, though it was long, and boring at times. We stayed in a Wal-Mart parking lot the first night and were delayed this morning because of forgotten meds. On our way out of Indiana we drug and scratched the hitch while trying to turn around in a parking lot, it tore a few holes in the protector net, ripped some of the steel cable's rubber coating off, and screwed up the brake switch which we promptly fixed. We hope not to have another problem like that anytime soon.
Ready to go!
Currently we are in Iowa, in a campground off I-80. (oddly called the Interstate RV park and  campground, very convenient, we highly recommend it) We plan to drive all the way to South Dakota tomorrow, stopping somewhere between Sioux Falls, and Rapid City.
